More and more websites have already migrated to HTPS. Also at cherryhill.eu we decided to follow this internet trend. As the old site was already running on TurnkeyLinux we upgraded to a newer version. Now https://epg.cherryhill.eu is running on TurnkeyLinux Lamp 16.0.
Enabling the https protocol was quite easy. The TurnkeyLinux configuration tool
confconsole was doing the real job.
There is nothing much to do as just selecting Let’s encrypt from the menu. The configuration tool is connecting the
non-profit certificate authority https://letsencrypt.org/ and reconfiguring the webserver. After 30 seconds our site was
using a SSL Certificate enabling HTTPS.
